The studio

A small studio, built for working well

BASI Pilates Alicante is on Avenida Bruselas in San Juan Playa. It’s a bright room with BASI Systems Reformers, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Wunda Chair and Spine Corrector, and small groups so every session stays precise.

We are also an official BASI Pilates Host Studio, where trainee BASI instructors practise and observe. For you, that means a studio that works to the method’s standard every day.

Our approach

How we work

What sets us apart from a gym or an ordinary studio isn’t only the equipment. It’s how every class is taught.

  1. 01

    An unhurried first session

It usually runs a little over an hour. We talk about your goals and any injuries, and the coach corrects every movement so you get it right from the start.

  2. 02

    You understand what you’re doing

Classes come with plenty of explanation: anatomy, biomechanics and the reason behind each exercise.

  3. 03

    The equipment adjusts to you

BASI Systems pulleys, springs and platforms adapt to your body and to the resistance you need.

  4. 04

    Progress block by block

The BASI block system structures each class logically, so you progress week after week.

FAQ

Before your first class

What language are classes taught in?

Classes are taught in English and Russian: Inna teaches in Russian and English, Rachael in English. We don’t have a Spanish-speaking coach yet, but we plan to add one.

I’ve never done Pilates. Can I start?

Yes. We run beginner and intermediate groups. Your first session usually runs a little over an hour: the coach watches each person and corrects every movement so you learn the fundamentals of the BASI method properly from day one.

How much does a class cost?

Reformer mini-group: €25 per single class, for everyone. 8-class pack: €200 (2 classes a week, valid 1 month) or €220 (1 class a week, valid 2 months). Mat Pilates: €15. Duet for two people: €70 per class. Personal 1:1 training: €60 per class.

How many people are in each class?

A maximum of 3 people in Reformer classes and 6 in Mat. Duet is for 2 people and personal training is one-to-one. That way the coach can see and correct everyone throughout the class.

How do I book?

Message us on WhatsApp at +34 627 09 89 33. Most of our students manage their classes through our WhatsApp group. No app or sign-up needed.

Can I do Pilates with an injury, a herniated disc or back pain?

We work with people with disc protrusions, herniations and injuries, always carefully and in a controlled way, and always with your doctor’s clearance before you start. Pilates does not replace medical treatment or physiotherapy; it complements it.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and you get a full refund. Within 24 hours, a 50% refund. Within 12 hours, no refund.

BASI Pilates Alicante is the only BASI studio in Alicante and the only one in the city equipped with BASI Systems.

Where is the studio?

At Avenida Bruselas, 17, local 3, 03540, Alicante (San Juan Playa). We are open Monday to Friday 9:30–20:00 and Saturday 10:00–15:00.
